Introduction

SecDim Learn is a catalogue of self-paced, in-repository courses on modern security vulnerabilities based on real-world security incidents.

How SecDim Learn Works

Each course is built around a specific security topic and consists of one or more topics. Topics combine tutorial content (text and video) with hands-on labs where you work directly with vulnerable code.

Unlike traditional video-only training, SecDim Learn embeds practical exercises within each topic so you apply what you learn immediately.

Course Structure

A typical SecDim Learn course follows this structure:

  1. Topic overview — read the tutorial or watch the video to understand the vulnerability, its root cause, and its real-world impact.

  2. Hands-on lab — open the lab in the Cloud Development Environment (CDE) to work with a real application that contains the vulnerability.

  3. Fix and verify — apply your fix and run the tests to confirm the vulnerability is resolved.

  4. Next topic — move to the next topic in the course or explore related courses.

What Makes Learn Different from Play

  • SecDim Learn provides structured, guided courses with tutorials and step-by-step content. It is designed for learning new security concepts.

  • SecDim Play provides open-ended challenges without tutorials. It is designed for practising and assessing existing skills.

Both products use the same Cloud Development Environment and the same hands-on, code-based approach.

Getting Started

  2. Sign in with your existing SecDim account or register a new one

  3. Browse the course catalogue and select a course

  4. Follow the topics in order, completing each hands-on lab
